It takes a while to know enough to not have questions. It's perfectly fine to say "I don't know the answer, but I will find out for you." Half my day is spent asking the doc a question or answering a receptionist question.
Started out as this. There's a lot to remember! It might be helpful to make yourself a worksheet or binder you can quickly refer to for common questions. We have a front desk binder with stuff like contact info for referral clinics, vaccine price quotes, etc.
This is normal. Can take 3 months, 6 months, 1 year sometimes. Don’t think about that.
Stay focused on being a sponge, being curious, asking questions, listening and learning from those with more experience, being proactive and asking others where you can help.
Took me a year and a half to feel reasonably comfortable. A few years later I still have flashes of "what the hell am I doing???" Hang in there, it gets better.
There is no standard amount of time. It depends from one person to another. Others can learn everything from as little as over 2 weeks or so while others take months. It doesn't matter. What's important is that you are trying your best to be good in what is expected for you to do.
I'd say it really depends on the culture and workload. In my case, it took almost 3 months. Don't worry, OP. You'll get the hang of it.
It takes time. We are all different and have different experiences and backgrounds. Don't worry you are still new!
We all have different adjustment periods. Take your time. I'm sure your coworkers will help you.
Take your time. You are still in the adjustment period. There's nothing to worry about.
You are fairly new, OP. That's understandable. Best of luck!
I'm sure you're doing fine. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. You'll get it eventually.
It's only been two weeks. I don't think they expect you to have everything down packed right now. It took me about a month to feel comfortable
Take it easy! Give yourself room to explore and make mistakes. There's no timeline for it. But Take in as much information as you can.
I'm over a month in and I still feel like I have so much to learn. Which is understandable. Our lead vet told me that I don't have to worry much about it and just learn as much as I can.
If you feel like you're not learning fast enough, then give yourself time. You can't force your brain to learn numerous information at once.
It might be because you keep comparing yourself to your coworkers who have been doing their job for years. It took them years to learn what they know now. Don't beat yourself up for it, OP.
It took me months if not years. Learning really takes time. You can't expedite learning. Take as much time as you need. You'll get there eventually.
