Hi DI folks, how were the hikes last year??
Hii Guys, Could anyone give me some clarity on the below point. I have cleared 2nd round of technical interview at Deloitte, but my candidature is still showing as interview in progress at Deloitte careers page. I had a discussion with HR on this and she told me that next process is pending from management side. It's been almost 10 days since from 2 nd round of interview. How much more time does it gonna take, any idea? Or is it normal. Please help me with this 🙏🙏 .Deloitte

I get that our CTE stipends are meant to cover some of the extra time/hours, but a lot needs to be done during the actual school day. I often find myself too busy meeting additional school teacher requirements/duties and too mentally fragmented to teach at the level I used to. I am feeling guilty because being a good employee means being a mediocre teacher to my students.
Teaching CTE is teaching academics PLUS teaching employment skills. It’s 2 jobs in one. A “regular” teacher could not do what we do (although they will debate & try to prove that they could). I have asked my English teachers to teach students HOW to research. I have asked my Math teachers to teach students HOW to graph their answers. I have asked my science teachers to teach students HOW to create and follow a step by step plan when performing a project that goes beyond the classroom science experiment. My students come to their CTE class with knowledge of annotating The Great Gatsby; or c^2= a^2 + b^2; or knowing if sugar or salt dissolves faster in vinegar. Ok … now what? CTE teachers take all of that “useless” (and I use that term very loosely so as not to offend the very thin skinned regular teachers) knowledge and apply it to real world activities (aka acquisition of useable work skills) and make magic happen!
Not sure if I responded appropriately, but you’re right. CTE teachers do more, accomplish more, and are treated as less. Do NOT feel guilty that you’re not being a good employee!! You are being an amazing employee and are giving your students life skills that are transferable to college and career! Your work is not commensurate with a $1500 stipend - please never forget that.
😂 I’m sorry. I have to laugh to keep from crying.
