I think we’re becoming overly dependent on AI. Here are three observations shared by an AI expert:
>> Teams that used to debate solutions now just accept whatever the AI suggests
>> People who used to troubleshoot problems now panic when the AI doesn't have an answer
>> Critical thinking skills are eroding faster than anyone wants to admit

What are you seeing in your organization?

There was an MIT study that showed people who use ChatGPT literally loose brain function. I am staying away from it and I hope there comes a day when a functioning brain is a useful skill set.

Has this changed in the new year? Seems like AI is continuing to be seen as the silver bullet.

Second year associate here who recently switched from litigation to corporate law. I am absolutely swamped while simultaneously having no idea what I’m doing ever and I’m feeling so burnt out. The partners are pretty great and feedback is constructive which I’m grateful for, but I’m so desperate for a compliment I’ve been saving any scrap of positivity in a folder 😭 it’s December 22 and I haven’t done my Christmas shopping because I don’t feel capable of thinking about it. I need a hug.
