This has lived rent-free in my head for almost 7 years now. An upset and aggressive customer was arguing with our manager at the time, and the customer ended up getting physical. The manager had them on the ground, arms behind their back like it was nothing. Police were called, and everything got sorted out. Still the craziest thing I’ve ever seen.
Once I had a customer get so upset that I was doing an ID check for his adult beverage that he said "suck it" and I said "no thank you, but I do need to see your ID for this purchase".
I had a customer couldn't stop the car in front of the store and drove in the glass through the stor all the way destroying everything in sight till he reached the back stock room and walking cooler..

That happens so much, when someone (pretty much anyone) calls me and says "you're never going to believe what happened", my first guess is always a car just drove through your front window.
A quick count, it has happened to stores I was running at least a half dozen times, with various amounts of damage. Last time was 4th of July 2018, when I had a car hit the decorative pillar, which fortunately had a metal pole in the middle. The pillar disintergated, and if not for that pole, the car would have taken out me and most of my management staff.
Years ago I was recognized and received a corporate award. The award was awesome and all but I think what I liked more was how the new store manager appeared to be so "jealous" that the big bosses knew my name and would go out of their way to say hello to me during store walks. It made me laugh... Maybe the store manager needed some water because she seemed thirsty? LOL
Not a crazy story as far as what I seen in the store, but for sure some interesting behavior...
I want to hear a story from the author of this post as I am extremely intrigued by what I have read so far...

We had a special needs (autism) kid that would come into all of the stores in our complex (and surely a bunch of other stores). Everyone loved him, he would spend hours just browsing, and talking to us, and spend just enough money to ensure that he would always be a welcome customer.
One day a woman (a special education teacher, no less) saw him walking down the busy street he always walked down. He had headphones on, was bopping to music, possibly music in his head, and crossing at the lights, like he did every day.
She called the police because, as someone who should know better and know how to treat those of us who are differently abled, she decided, whilst driving at 40 mph or more, on a very busy street, that some kid walking was a danger to himself.
It didn't help that someone about his age had wandered away from the group home nearby, so the police come into our store (it was my day off, so I found out afterwards) and tried to detain him. It did not go well.
The cop actually said "I don't want to have to tase a kid with autism" Yeah, how is that even a consideration? The kid's dad came down, and straightened everything out.
It took a few days for him to come back in. We were worried that he would be too traumatised to ever come back, but we got him a card and (I think) a cake. He was so touched when he finally ventured out. And his dad appreciated it so much.
To this day, if I happen to be at that store, and he is there, he comes running up and hugs me.

Cashier 1, thank you for the compliment. I am sure you would be an awesome addition to my team. Maybe some day, who knows? Stranger things have happened.
Someone pooped in the fitting room my first week working retail. Just pooped on a pile of clothes and left like it was no big deal. I didn’t find it until I came to the fitting room to take over the shift from someone else, so we never found out who did it.
