I’d say the only real skills you need to know to do either are
Requirements gathering
Data flow charts
Understanding agile development
Have a personality to be able to relate to both developers and business folks
Project management skills. (A lot of the b4 tech projects are really messy because accountants are so squared on their thinking and software development doesn’t work quite like that)
Why? How? Up to you, not that hard. Had multiple interviews and passed. Imo it's the new sexy job but most people don't have knowledge or skills to execute. Much more complicated question/answer than wanting a change
At acn, BA, Scrum Master and or Product Owner then Product Manager
Generally good fit for consulting skill set, but requires a more user centered advocacy role than we typically take. Make sure to have a strong functional and Project management background to be a product manager.

KPMG1 how do you pick which typf of product, eg b2c, b2b, Uber, Amazon?
I'd love to know as well!
This is what everyone wants to do after consulting lol
You can be a product owner within B4. All of the internal tax apps have product owners. Also the is a dedicated BA group in all of the big4. Its doable but to be a product owner you need to be senior manager level. BA’s range all the way from associates to associate directors.
Hi; I interviewed with a couple of startups and Facebook for their APM program. I’ll say PMO works helps a lot as well as having a good technical background(analytics,DBs, some programming) also the easiest way to land a PM job is applying for an industry you already work as a consultant. I interviewed with fintech startups because that’s most of the projects I was with ACN.
