I was gaslit today by the managing partner of my group about my low hours even though one cry meeting for months there has been discussion about the slow down in work. They basically set up a pretext for firing me making it seem like it’s all my fault for not getting work even though every time I reach out they don’t have work and I’m not getting staffed on deals. I’m tired of this shit.

When you come back to school, are you expecting any staffing changes? Is that a good or bad thing? Do you think it should be addressed as a message from school administrators?

Thinking of switching employers. M&A/PE associate (trying to juggle multiple deals) feeling like I don’t have time to dive deeper into issues and it being highlighted in some of my work product as I am having to turn things right away and just pushing things out - so issues I may have caught if I had a better/deeper/higher level understanding are more apparent when partners review. Truly feeling like I’m just messing up all around but trying to give myself grace. How do you know if it’s just you or a part of the process?

I'm realizing I don't really have any "healthy" ways of relaxing outside of work, so drop whatever you got.
