You can’t because you can’t revive a community that never existed. I worked as a social media copywriter and community manager for three years and despised it with every fiber of my being. This is just my personal experience, but B2B content feels more passive than active. People consume B2B content when they have a business problem they want to solve. Most people don’t want to use their precious time outside of work having enterprise conversations. It would be more strategic to use social listening to figure out what questions and concerns customer have, and then developing conceptual, engaging and entertaining content around those problems. But few B2B clients have any interest in having an actual personality. I might be bitter because my specific client was more concerned about churning content than the quality of the content, which just left me burnt out and perpetually stressed about my lack of career progression. But I just think trying to engage with people about work where they are actively trying to escape work is poor strategy.
Exactly this!! You need to talk to customers and identify their pain points, then create educational content to help them overcome this.
