I hate the line about someone more closely aligned with our needs. Truth is we already knew who we were hiring and had less than zero interest in anyone else.
Finding remote positions is going to be difficult, those are not as common as they had been a few years ago. A lot of organizations have turned against remote work. The obstacles you're encountering are also just part of the job market being stuck for a year. It may help to broaden your search to go beyond remote work, but until things somehow pick up in this weird economy we may all be facing a lot of obstacles.
That’s such a tough spot to be in, especially after so many years. This market can be really discouraging. It might help to tighten up your resume and lean more on networking or recruiter outreach, not just job boards. Contract or short-term roles can also be a good bridge while you keep looking. What kinds of roles are you targeting right now?
I am looking for BA, BSA, and Customer Support Roles.
Thank you for your feedback!
Hartford is hiring BA’s but they are hybrid roles unless you don’t live anywhere near a closest location (I believe it’s 30 mile radius but am not 100% on the actual number). Check the open positions posted under LinkedIn
I am sorry to hear that although this has been a very bad job market and economy regardless of the profession.
The only things I can suggest are to have your resume looked at so it can pass through the AI /ATS programs that companies use, place your resume on job boards and make yourself visible to employers, network, and keep applying to job postings on the job boards and directly on company's websites.
Remote jobs seem to be disappearing and either going hybrid or completely in office.
Right now, you just might want to apply for anything and everything to get back to work especially since you have been out of work for nearly a year and then when things improve with the economy and job market look for something more in line for you.
@Business Analyst, I completely understand you. I have experienced unemployment too much in the last couple of years. When I have been unemployed, it has normally been 2-6 months other than during the Great Recession which was for 14 months.
Even though the job market and economy are bad, there are some of the younger generations who either do not want to work FTE, want to work only remotely, and have specific roles they are willing to accept when it should not matter whether it is a remote, hybrid, or in office role or what the role is as long as it is legal, ethical, and pays the bills.
Come join me at AO Globe Life. We are hiring and it's completely remote. We provide all mentorship, training and leads! We have a wonderful virtual office environment too!
Check out information on the position here, and if you your like what you hear, schedule an interview. What do you have to lose?
