SQL is not computer science nor is power BI. Computer science is programming.
Anyway, learning about either of those is always helpful. Both will help you to be more efficient, which is why companies want those skills. You can likely find a good online program that will give you a certificate. One or both would be good to have but you don’t need to get a comp sci degree, nor would they necessarily teach either of those, to learn how to use power bi and SQL. I learned how to use SQL, it was easy and fast to learn. I haven’t ever mastered power bi but it’s not been necessary to my career, nor has SQL for that matter. I learned how to use SQL to build my skill set and improve my resume but I’ve never used it in the 15 years since I learned it.
It’s never too late. I think in this competitive job market the more skills you have the better. If you have the time and availability then go ahead, maybe there’s some online certifications you can get.
