Is there a way to tell what levels are at AWS? I was contacted about a Senior Practice Manager role? B4 equivalent?

Theres not necessarily an equivalence and this role is typically an L6.

Depending on scope it’s somewhere between manager and senior manager but responsibilities are different.

It’s an immature org so as a practice lead in a larger practice you are likely looking at L7.

I was also previously in a partnership role and in some ways you take steps back but really the steps are just different. AWS is much more startup than an EY so you can bring discipline and experience while also you need to be more hands on and engaged in delivery.

Comp will be the biggest consideration because most of it typically is RSU based. New pay band will shift that a bit but depending on your current tenure abd TC, they may not be able to match. Tradeoff is work itself and WLB.

Given all the recent buzz about expected large raises around the big 4, I’d like to level set on the average salary for a 4th/5th year female senior manager in federal tax ( credits & methods group) in the Midwest - Chicago/Minneapolis/Detroit market. Anyone willing to share a range if they work in a similar area of tax / similar level? I recognize all groups vary greatly in salary expectations, so looking for input specific to my area. Current expectations set at 140-160k. Reasonable?

Recently got an offer for salesforce sales strategy (105K TC) vs Morgan Stanley IB Strategy (135K TC). Salesforce will be 40-50 hours a week remote until 2022 and then will have a hybrid working model, most likely going in office 2-3 times a week vs Morgan Stanley will be on average 60 hours a week in office full time. Is it worth the 30K extra in compensation to commute to office daily + 10-20 more hours per week? In terms of pay progression, I think Morgan Stanley will definitely be a lot fast
