I was staffed on a high-stakes digital transformation project for a Fortune 500 retail client. My team was brought in to develop a strategy to overhaul their e-commerce platform and SC operations. We identified over $100 million in potential savings and revenue growth opportunities. Our client was super impressed but weirdly, I was incredibly sad after it all. The cost I was paying was losing great moments with my family. If you've gone through this, please share how you dealt with it effectively!

I hope you're also gracious enough to yourself that you're celebrating your success, even if it wasn't immediately after the win. Your experience is all too common in the consulting world. The thrill of delivering high-impact results often comes at a significant personal cost. Take time to reflect on what truly matters to you. While professional success is important, family relationships are irreplaceable. Consider whether the trade-offs you're making align with your long-term life goals

What do people use for writing samples? I’m 5 years out of school and a job posting asked for a writing sample. Do people just make up a writing topic and write about it?

DE&I is now a core leadership competency. If you are managing diverse talent, it’s important to understand what the term “privilege” means within a DE&I context so you can lead your team to higher levels of inclusivity+develop optimal strategies for solutioning around team issues/challenges. Everyone has some aspect of privilege depending upon the context. Privilege means the absence of obstacles/barriers, not necessarily the presence of perks. Though some would say *that* itself is a perk.
