You’re not crazy and they just want to make your life miserable. Make your case and point and good luck!
Did they approve the 2 weeks and then rescind it or did you book the flights before you heard back? Some jobs have strict leave policies, especially in the first year of employment. As long as you were willing to take unpaid leave, it’s a bit unreasonable to not let you, but it’s not unheard of amongst employers.
Unless it says somewhere (in written form, e.g. in the employee handbook) that you can’t, you should be fairly safe
Either way though, this is ridiculous
What do you mean unless it says OP can’t? If OP doesn’t show up to work when scheduled and without approval, they can fire OP.
Why work at a place that won’t let you take off (even unpaid) for such an important event. Find a new place that respects it
No, you’re not crazy. Two weeks is normal even without a wedding. I’d offer one week unpaid as a compromise (though still agreed that it is a bad look on the part of the company)

You’re not crazy. I’m taking 2 weeks off in a few months just for a vacation, not wedding related. i’d look into your contract and company policies about this to see if it’s actually written anywhere
