I work at a Gardner school. The cons about working here is everytime we have a bad snow storm the director expects us to come into work. There were so many co workers who live far away from work. That’s kind of ridiculous how they expect us to come into work on really bad snow storms. It seems like they want us to get into car accidents instead of staying home safe. I’m sure I’m not the only one whose anxiety gets worse when we have to drive in bad snow storms. And a lot of drama and gossip.

I am sorry I worked in Douglas County and Carson City school district and part of the reason I was told that they don't take snow days is that they don't want to delay the end of the school year as it's difficult to keep the enrollment up and be paid as a district for the days the kids are in school. It wasnt like in the 90s

All of the districts are closed today here in Mich. We got 4” of snow. I’m surprised they don’t close for inclement weather.

I realized I've been a dummy for getting a job at a creative agency and not working on my portfolio. Most of the projects I've taken on, I've done so as a way to support others without taking much credit for it. Now, a better opportunity came along and I don't have anything to show for my talent as a designer. ALWAYS take credit for what you do, even if it's not your project to begin with.

I'm at a career juncture and have decided on a career in anti-money laundering as my new path. I'm also highly interested in additional education to further my career and am eyeing graduate school. Which is best? A law degree or a master's in international relations? Those are where my interests lie. I keep reading that JDs are valued in compliance but am wondering if a different graduate program is better for my goals. I already plan to obtain the CAMS certification. Thank you!
