I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. I'm a partner with young kids and feel like I'm missing out on too much of their lives. Wishful, but my dream job would have a lighter workload in terms of time and pressure for the next ~5 years, but not set me back too much (or at all) when the kids are older and tired of me in a few years and I'm ready to be back at work full force.

Is there such a thing as getting promoted TOO quickly? Just got the bump to AS after 10 months as an AE. Not at all typical at my agency (usually 5 to 8 YOE). I picked up a lot of opportunity after turnover last year. I am, of course, thrilled, but do wonder if it'd put the validity of my agency in question when looking at my resume. Am I crazy? I'm probably crazy.

There’s no reason you have to put up with a job you hate. I spent many years working in a toxic environment with a boss who gossiped and lead through fear. He wasn’t really much of a leader but basically a foreman. And he could make my existence miserable. I admit that it wasn’t easy to find another job but the bottom line is: trust your guts. If you feel something is wrong it’s because it probably is. Don’t second guess yourself. Look for options and and fight for your mental health.
