I’m sorry. I understand that because as women we definitely feel like we need to give it our all. Maybe find something work related you can address like a white paper, connections or getting involved in a work related volunteer activity that way you can put the time you aren’t actively working with your team towards something that mentally feels productive and less emphasis on the feeling like you just aren’t wanted/needed?
I'm pretty sure what they have done to you is illegal. You need to report it. I would still look for another position while collecting your check. There's job protection in place for maternity leave as long as you have been at a company for a certain amount of time and the company meets a minimum head count. Look it up on the Department of Labor website.
When you say that you keep getting rejections, is it asking to be on projects and then being told no? Are you currently utilized?
No internal and external roles. My team don’t do project work just routine tasks
