I wish I wasn’t adaptable. Humans aspire for a greater level of comfort and once achieved, adopt that as their new baseline. Because of this, somebody making $100k cannot simply comfortably revert back to a $50k lifestyle. The slow growth of personal wealth isn’t noticed as ideated. Instead, we are never satisfied.

My friend is looking to move to Bangalore but her salary is <50k pm(content writing). moving to another city is a new thing for her and I want her to try and experience this but I'm also concerned about the costs.

What are your thoughts on pay discrepancies based on family structure? Ex. Two people do the same job but one is paid more or given a larger bonus “because they have kids and you live alone” or “because their family is struggling”. Solve a debate for me I think my husband is way underpaid. He has 5 years of experience in all kinds of dev but has specialized in cloud computing. He has been working for the same company since he graduated. He has worked his way up to lead developer and makes $110k. What would you think a remote employee should be making with 5 years of experience.
