Don't give up. Studying for and taking these exams is truly awful, but totally worth it. I hated mine... took them 11 times, but once you pass and become a CPA, you NEVER have to take them again. That cert is with you for the rest of your career and opens many doors. No matter how difficult it seems, keep going. You got this!

Working while studying at the same time means devoting all your free time to studying. It sucks in the short term but worth it in the end. Also consider watching YouTube vids on areas you need better understanding in

Today I encountered the strangest bug I have ever seen with Excel+Thinkcell. I have, as always, a separate Thinkcell sheet where I gather and structure the data (from other sheets) I want to make charts of. However, when linking this data to charts, all formulas in the sheet turns into values. This has never happened before. Anyone else seen this and knows what is going on?

Out of curiosity, what percent of your work/analyses are Excel based? And what other softwares do you use the most (Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, etc.)

My work has been 90% Excel based 10% Access/SQL based and friends at other firms seem to be using way more advanced programs.

I’m at a midsize firm in the Midwest and I’ve noticed that we’ve hired multiple associates who all graduated law school the same year. Some are coming from clerkships, other firms, etc., but they’re all on the same graduation year. This feels like it’s setting up a squeeze down the road for these folks with respect to partnership. Is there something I’m missing or is this something that will cause issues down the road?
