Hi folks, how is thoughtworks as an organisation?
Asking because I don't know much about it and have received recruiter's call today. Currently I am working in Deloitte. How is thoughtworks hikes, wlb, does it provide any benefits apart from fixed pay? My research gives me a mixed review: some say it's good, some say that thoughtworks is not stable enough like big 4 or other organisations. Pls help Thoughtworks Deloitte
So, lay off until the pandemic blows over.

-Layoffs would look really bad
-26%
-Directors
-Low performance, utilization, facial symmetry, tightness of physique.
-Extraordinarily high probability
No one is safe despite what the firms say
B4/consulting firms: No clients=no money coming in to pay staff.
Staff:no income=can’t pay bills and need to make choices about how you will use your savings when unemployment runs out until you can get other sources of income
So yes. Layoffs are inevitable the longer clients are not hiring consultants.
Deadweight / under-performers likely first
People bringing business not high on list unless there are other issues
Will they happen this year (above and beyond annual exercise of underperforming staff) depends on the firm, their pipeline, and ability for clients with inflight projects to pay.
If clients are conserving cash, postponing all but operationally critical projects that they are not hiring consultants for -> high impact on consulting firms-> layoffs
My prediction: Tax and audit will fare better - lots of pipeline related to CARES act - the tail could last 18 months. Consulting will rebalance around hi demand businesses - future of work, supply chain, digital transformation and new technologies, etc... Support teams will be decimated.
