Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Is there really a chance of it happening now? I don't mean to sound like a pessimist, but it sounds like nobody on either side is super interested in making loan forgiveness happen. It was just a promise that I never fully believed whatever happened.
Fair enough. I think it's been kinda taunting us for a while now
Biden won the damn election based on student loans and hasn’t delivered. He should be voted out based solely on that. On the other hand, if the alternative is Trumpy, I can’t decide which ancient geezer is worse.
It makes me sad that those are the options. But that’s what the average voter deserves apparently lol. This blows for all the ones with an IQ higher than 95.

If Trump gets re-elected, nothing about the current student loan situation will change. Nothing has happened in the last 4 years.
However, if he is re-elected, we'll be able to afford groceries again, thus allowing families to have the funds to cover their student loan payments.
And maybe we'll get the funny tweets again. 🤣
LP1 you forgot the “+” at the end of “LGBTQIA”. Please try to be more inclusive next time.
Yes, and?
Biden hasn't delivered either. Every new idea to chip away at loan debt is just a news push aimed to keep the issue in front of our minds.
Trump would nix forgiveness simply as a Republican position point. And no, he's not going to make groceries quickly affordable again - that's up to the corporations pushing to maximize profits in our current late stage capitalist society. More than likely, they've set their margins and will simply play the long game to see prices slowly come back to standard inflation over the next 2-3 years or so.
Definitely agree with your statements here
Biden tried and failed. Student loan forgiveness ain’t happening. As soon as they made the last decision, I refinanced at a lower rate so at least I’ll see the balance go down.
I hope no but just being realistic
I thought it was already off the table. Hopefully, it will be addressed again on some level. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
