As a dual admit, I would say I’m choosing S because I want a smaller class size and want to be surrounded by people passionate about changing the world.

Likely because Stanford doesn’t have a school of comparable culture and prestige. A lot of “Harvard material” people likely are applying to Wharton too but not S because S isn’t a good fit for them. However, Stanford target people may not want to reach below HSW even though of those 3 Stanford is the only cultural fit, so they apply to HW due to school status but have S as a clear #1 choice.
