Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient
I am currently interviewing at TikTok for the Content Partnerships Lead role. Can anyone share some insight into the salary bands in the Sub-Saharan African market? Should I benchmark with the global rates?
Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)

I won't commute more than 20 minutes ever again. I didn't realize how much of my day was spent commuting when my job was 45 minutes away. 45 minutes, twice a day, five days a week is just so much time in the car. With gas prices and everything, I need a short commute!
I think I’m leaning that way. I was thinking of taking a job that would require me to drive an hour but I don’t think I’m willing to do that to myself again
My commute is 40 minutes - no traffic it’s just far. It’s long but I find myself really enjoying that time to focus, drink my coffee, and relax in the morning! The way home I’m usually regretting living so far away but it gives me a chance to call my mom or decompress from the school day! I would say I could do at max 10 more minutes but any more than that and I think I’d lose my mind!
15-20 minutes
It depends on what traffic is like too. In rural areas, 30 miles can take 20 min… in urban areas,10 miles can take 30 min lol. Personally, 10 miles driving is my max, but if I could take a bus or train, I’d spend the hour reading or napping so it would be worth it. 🤷🏻♀️
I currently commute 35 minutes each way. Most days I enjoy the time in the car. I love my job, so I won’t be finding a new job, my next step is moving closer to where I teach.
I prayed for a job and told God that I would go 60 miles from home (we lived in a rural area). I got a job 59.8 miles from home. The commute, although a straight shot with no stop lights, was a killer. I commute 37 miles one way now, and love it.
This is really a personal question. Every job and role is so different. I just talked to a teacher today who commutes over an hour by train every day into the city. It really depends what you are willing to do.
5 miles is a great suburb or city distance. Far enough to have your own space and close enough not to use up lots of time commuting.
30 min top us my preference

There are pros/cons to everything. I currently drive 35-40 minutes and it definitely makes for a much longer day, but I use the car time to decompress from the day and prepare for the day ahead.
