If you could change ONE thing about working in healthcare right now, what would it be? Staffing? Pay? Management? Something else? I feel like everyone would have a different answer to this.

Pay, and if the job can be done remotely, full remote. Stop wasting money on office space and divert it to the staff.

like

For sure! Lots of positions are transitioning to full remote and I think there are tons of benefits to that!

Hahah 100%!😂

funny

It would be an increase in pay and having benefits

like

Both of those would be nice! Actual benefits make a HUGE difference.

Staffing changes I would definitely make in the office.

like

Gotcha! Is this specific to your facility or throughout the whole healthcare field?

Stop changing policies every other month and try to keep it simple and consistent so everyone has a chance to improve

like

For sure! Things go mo much smoother when everyone has time to actually get in the same page!

I would be on the medical side making real $$$$

Understandable!!

I just started a new job 2 months ago, benefits and PTO don’t start until 90 days in so I still have a month before I can take off any time, and today found out my company doesn’t offer paid maternity leave.
I’m really struggling handling the symptoms and maintaining my full time job. Thinking about looking for a part time job to have more time to myself through the pregnancy since I won’t be getting a paid leave anyways, but lost on where to start looking. Any recommendations?

How long do fed agencies give for maternity leave? does it matter if you take leave within your first year? does it vary from agency to agency? Specifically interested in SEC/CFTC.

Im a RN and took on a new role working in Home Health. I chose this position because My husband & I recently moved to PA with our 2 kids (1&3), with no family available for his residency program with a hospital. If you know that life, I’m pretty much the main parent for our kids. I don’t want to work in the hospital/floor work anymore; nor do I believe the hrs are flexible enough. I need a job that’s flexible for the kids but pays >$44/hr. Maybe remote or hybrid? Please help w/ suggestions.

So I say this with complete humility and an understanding that this is a fortunate-ish situation to be in. I’m in a position where I am tied to nothing, I have no children, spouse, or house. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. Because I am able to “pick up and go” I’m open to opportunities and locations. I’ve never worked with a recruiter but was hoping I could get some recommendations!
