I’m chatting with a partner next week about other offers I have from similar top tier firms and whether my current firm can match the signing bonus that I have been offered. I would stay at my current firm if they offer me the same. What is the best way to bring this up in a way that’s most effective and non-offensive?

Do partners sometimes say nice things about your work just to encourage you and less so because the work merits the compliment? Or is my impostor syndrome really messing with my head?

I am a Product Owner with 4+ YOE. I have been in my current role for 4 months and have continuously found that this role and company are not the right fit for me. Looking back on everything they said during the interview process it turns out that the culture, product and role are not aligning with anything we discussed. A startup I used to work at just got acquired. I purchased my stock by exercising options before leaving, the deal has already closed and just went public. The lawyers sent me paperwork for selling shares on the all cash payment. Anyone who sold companies how long does it typically take to see the cash in the bank on a company sale?

Leaving Amazon saved my life. I spent over seven years at the company and after about 6 months I began experiencing a lot of stress-related things like hair falling out, tension in my marriage etc. All that is gone now. I feel so free.
