If you leave federal service, is it hard to come back? I know a few people who left for private sector jobs and tried to come back, but it took them forever to get rehired. If I leave for a few years, am I shooting myself in the foot for returning later?

People leave and come back a lot, especially in DC. Government hiring is slow in general. But the next four years are going to really hurt federal government recruiting efforts so it might not be too hard to come back (assuming there’s something left to come back to)

Hello .. Anyone joining UBS on 31st October in Pune location?

Hi Guys,

I have completed my tech interview rounds with UBS and have received email for fitment round.

Can anyone share what happens in this fitment round on interview?
HRs have asked to submit documents even before this fitment round; which seems unusual. Is this normal for UBS and this is how they progress?

Thank you.

Can someone remind me what the deal is regarding elections for federal contractors? Can I donate/canvass for a 2020 presidential candidate? Thanks in advance!

hey, I joined Deloitte in June 2020 as an GPS SA analyst, I just staffed on internal project only providing me adjusted utilization. Now my standard util is 40 and my adjusted is 105... and this project last in another month... by then my standard util might be 20.. will my promotion be affected by this? My target promotion year on TOD is 2022. My manager said we might sell to client and extend this project in September but nothing guaranteed.

Does a C/S/TS/SCI clearance denial screw you over for public trust?

What's the market these days for someone with not-great technical skills, 12 YOE, TS clearance, hard-to-find/unique skillset, elite masters, middle management in DoD contracting, experience with critical/high profile roles?

I'm thinking 120-135k would be bad/mediocre, 180-195k would be possible/a stretch, and 160-170k would be doable/realistic. Thoughts? Not interested in Deloitte.
