I think talking about trends that are happening right now, good companies to look at, and emerging fields would get folks excited about the industry. I would be interested myself.
I think having the new/jr people talk to seasoned folks would be really valuable. Almost like speed mentoring?
Education.
In time, we can always meet people, connect on LinkedIn, and hear interesting talks, what keeps people coming back to an event/podcast series is learning something.
If I'm not learning anything more from something, I'm done, I move on, I have work to do. Because in time, I've met most of the regulars in a meetup, in time, interesting talks are only something I can manage time for when I have time for it.
So what keeps me coming back to a virtual event/meetup/podcast series?? That I learn something I want to learn, every time.
If you’d asked me this 1 year ago, I’d say 100% yes. However at this point, I’m personally getting a lot of virtual meet-up fatigue. Would love to see some innovation in this space, different formats etc.
