I don’t know even know what I’m good at anymore.
Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

I think it depends on your definition of worth it. Most lawyers don't make a ton of money. I really like the law and the problems it presents but this industry can be very toxic. Many people in my class who passed the bar changed to a completely different profession within 5 years of graduating.
When I talk to prospective law school students, I typically tell them that you should only go to law school if you really like homework, because that's what being a lawyer is. Reviewing documents, reading dense cases to try and find the right set of facts or argument that supports your case, and prepping for hearings that are frequently rescheduled or canceled with very little notice. It's constant homework with a little bit of arguments in between.
My younger cousin went from having a career in business to going to medical school right around your age and he is so happy.
I used to wonder the same thing. I worked in a legal division doing contracts and knew some lawyers and while the law degree helped several who did contracts, they didn’t need their law degree to do what they were doing. One guy just told me don’t do it unless you really like to argue. He was one of the only ones actively working as a lawyer in our division. Most of the people who had been to law school, were just working alongside the rest of us with no law school. So, that to me became the distinction. I worked in contracts. Maybe it’s different for other areas of law, I don’t know.
