I joined KGS in feb 2022, we recently got a mail regarding timeline of appraisal and bonus payout from the partner. My reporting manager hasn't yet reached out to me regarding goal setting, not sure if that happens here. Can you pls help me to know what all things we need to do from our end for the appraisal cycle and bonus payout? Since I'm new to this company KPMG KPMG India

TCS is the worst company one can be in.
Cheap mindset management cares more about timesheet, wfo, forceful mandatory trainings, imposing strict restrictions on laptop, access to personal docs only via vpn,no employee well being no salary hikes nth at all.90% projects filled with freshers coz they cost less.No WLB for good dedicated hard working employees as they are punished with more and more work, leaves rewards mostly for people who don’t work. But no issues kyunki job security hai 😂

I just turned 34 and was promoted a few months back to a director. I never want a promotion ever again in my life. I feel done and don’t know what to look forward to in my career.
I did the retire/step down option. It is freeing. For the first time in my life I'm focused on me and my family and what makes us happy, not what can get us further. Stress does not equal success.
If anyone wants to speak to me about this - I work with professionals who want to set up a “Portfolio Career”. This is basically where you plan out your career to have multiple revenue streams, work your own hours and have the flexibility to do what you want.
I walk them through the process and work with them on discovering what options they have. Most people don’t realize that they have hundreds of options to choose from!

Same! I’m 42 and on my way to management but I really just want to go wait tables at a restaurant again or load a line at a factory.
I feel this on soooo many levels. I’m 35 and just got promoted to regional manager. It was talked up as an easy portfolio with clients that care. The last 4 months has been an absolute nightmare! Honestly, I secretly want to do my job so horribly that I can be demoted, but it’s just not in me to do it. The workload is incredibly overwhelming. I burned out at week 6 and now have to fight with myself not to cry everyday.

Ugh, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I just feel like more and more is expected out of us and that there becomes less and less of a separation between work and life. It just feels like the grind never ends, unfortunately.
Lmao
I can relate to this feeling.
Never too late to follow passion but passion paying the bills is a dream that may or may not come true

I'm turning 38 this November, part of me wants to chase my dreams but I just got here in the US and still on F1 Visa so I have to study and work harder to get that GC before I can find a higher paying job. And other part of me just want to build a family and get pregnant ASAP coz I'm not getting any younger but I am still single as F, actively dating but can't find any potential mate! 🤣🤣🤣
I'm originally from Manila Philippines but my latest job was in Amex HK
I’ve only been in my industry less than a decade, a few promotions, not at a management position either, and I’m in my early 30s. I’m tired.
Same. Same same same
Everyone who has the same thoughts… why haven’t you? Genuinely asking.
I’m the main earner and it would take 90k a year from my family. Oh and student loans. Feels like a selfish decision.
I am looking at jumping ship just because i am bored but then again I have so much freedom I get other stuff done
