I have cleared PWCs director’s round of interview today. HR discussion is scheduled for next week. What is the expected CTC i can quote with 6.5 yrs of experience, current CTC 12 LPA and tech stack is GIS

Is it worth exploring contract to hire position at Walmart while I am currently a FTE at a product company (average salary and decent workload)? I told them unless they confirm that they would hire after 3-4 months, I wouldn't be comfortable. Any suggestions on how to approach this ? I am not in a hurry to look outside, just waiting for the right opportunity and btw, I cleared virtual onsite interviews at google and right now in team match phase (with no update in last 3 weeks).

For the people who earned the SHRM-CP, did you feel it was worth it? I have an indirect HR position, been applying for more HR focused positions and wondering if this would help. I got the CAPM (certified associate of project management) in December, but that hasn’t really changed things. Would love some opinions before working on another certification!

I accepted a role in New York City but my direct manager said I can work from home in Boston instead. My understanding is that I would be paying NY taxes, but not MA taxes. Can anyone here confirm? Also, would my employer have to incur any additional taxation because I am remote? They’re a really small firm and I worry that this sort of thing could be prohibitive for them despite my manager’s approval.

Would you leave for another offer if it was only a financial benefit? (15% salary bump and 10% higher performance bonus per year). I’m going to be making an exit soon to a company that’s working hard to recruit me in. I’m in an AE position. I’d be forfeiting $18k in RSUs vesting, President’s club, and $200k+ in pipeline if I do move. I’m inclined to leave because this would be a step up in a role and I really like the team.

My question is: is it reasonable to ask for a $40k sign on bonus to account for what I’m leaving here? How do you go about negotiating that?

My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster. I’ve barely taken any days off this year and pick up “skeleton crew” days any chance I get. I was able to work out a deal with my company before I came because of prior experience luckily, but they offer a terrible base salary and sham of a commission structure to new hires + no remote. Then sit here and can’t figure out why…
