I’m a clinical psychology doctoral student. Before grad school, I worked in corporate for ~a decade, from law and marketing to tech startups and organizational change consulting. My experiences (incl. in exec support roles) made me interested in toxic workplaces, and particularly abusive bosses. For my dissertation, I’m studying how the mistreatment women experience from supervisors at work mirrors the dynamics of intimate partner abuse. Can you relate? Consider participating in my survey.

This is so interesting! Ironically, I get most of this stress from the secretarial manager, instead of the Partners or any of the Associates lol. Would I qualify in this case?
This study defines a supervisor as someone with the power to hire, fire, and direct your activities at work. If that sounds like the secretarial manager, go for it!
The person I work for causes me intense emotional distress (I feel it in my body even though I can reason out of it with my mind). Would this qualify?
Yes, you are welcome to participate. I'm sorry you're experiencing such distress.
Wow this is really interesting. I’ve had managers in the past that were bullies, talked down to me or yelled which was really stressful. Their peers showed me inappropriate content on the internet.
I’m so sorry this happened to you.
