Hey fishes,
Let’s say Brillio gave some joining bonus and if we are leaving within an year we need to pay it back.
So does it mean I need to put papers after one year or is that okay to put papers after 9 months, so serving 3 months notice makes it one year.
Please let me know if anyone had an idea about this.
Brillio

Almost a decade in, and I still triple-check the file names, but I don’t spiral over it anymore. You’ll get into a rhythm, and the anxiety will back off. It’s part of the learning curve we all survive.
helps me to create a solid folder structure too, only one doc goes in the folder that gets filed, & you put that doc in it.
yes, it’s all about reps.
plus you’re in big law, if you’re scared just have the docket clerks do it
It will go away, repetition helps. Very normal feeling though.
USDC ECF shouldn’t overwhelm you. If you make a mistake filing or naming you can call the ECF help desk and they can rectify it for you.
Big Law usually has a court/docket/efiling team. This function typically doesn’t fall on paralegals.
I’ve been e filing for 8 years and no longer have any anxiety. I’ve made every mistake that can be made and know now that most everything can be fixed with a phone call or an email. I still always open up every pdf and check it over one final time before filing to make sure there isn’t something I missed before filing, but yeah, I used to get really anxious about it too. My worst mistake my first year was I filed a case under the wrong caption because I had two complaints in word open on my desktop. (Never do that!) and then of course I didn’t see it, a baby attorney saw it and had to alert everyone in the office because he needed the pat on the head that he found a major mistake. Fortunately, it was a not busy court in a rural area and all it took was a single phone call to fix (and that was a stroke of luck!) so it was fixed in literally ten minutes. Once the mistake is fixed, no one cares anymore. There are courts that will make you file a motion to withdraw or amend though, so prevention is always worth a pound of cure .
