Haha, if you can't beat 'em join 'em! There are curbs everywhere in San Diego, so I think it's pretty easy to hit them whether it's raining or not ;) And it sounds like you're acclimating to these moderate temps... you're going to be freezing when you go back to the Midwest!
From NE no driving issues yet but I must say anything below 70 I am looking for a fully goose down NorthFace and pulling out my collection of boots!

Welcome to the team OP lol I'm glad you're okay after that curb incident though. Good thing no one was around to see.
Oh no, there was a group of 4 neighbors talking outside about 10 feet from it. They were close enough that I’m sure they heard me yelling in fear right after it happened, as if the curb jumped out and attacked me.
Moved here from the east coast (VA) and i swear 50 degrees here is way colder than 50 degrees back home 😭
I transplanted from DC.VA and noted the same. Will wait for 70 degrees before heading out on walks when back in VA I would get out in most weather. Think it is the cold air blowing off the ocean that adds quite the bite to the real feel temp.
Lol I'm from the midwest also. How'd you let them change you so quick OP?
It happens and you don’t even realize it! I never thought I’d lose my ability to drive in rain though. I used to laugh at all the San diegans who “lose their minds with a little rain and drive their cars into each other or the ditch for no reason”. And by used to, I mean up until 3 days ago when I did it 🫣
Honestly, I moved here from New York two years ago and 60 already feels like -10 degrees to me so you are not alone.
Can take awhile to adapt, and you seem to have done so!
This topic has been addressed and readdressed since San Diego was founded. Lol it’s never gonna change people. SD native drivers are a product of their environment
OMG I feel the same way. I am also from the Midwest and I see people bundled up in winter parkas when its 60 degrees and I laugh every single time.
I grew in Minnesota and it only took me a few months of living in San Diego to feel the same way. We have turned the heat on in temps that we used to go outside in shorts and celebrate the warmth. LOL. You are not alone. We are so spoiled.
The things we do for the sake of fashion. Also, same.(:
