😭😭😭. I’m a Midwest transplant, after just 4 years of living here—I can no longer laugh at the San Diegans who don’t know how to drive in the rain or are cold at 60 degrees. Last night it was raining lightly and I drove the car straight into a curb hard with no one around me. Also, I dress the way I used to in Midwest winters when it’s 60 degrees out. 🫠

Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). I received my PHR certification in September 2020 and sitting for my SHRM-CP in two weeks. I’m having a hard time transitioning into a full Generalist position.

I couldn’t get an internship while in school. I have a BS in ME and projects from school under my belt. I’ve also passed the FE exam. I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at.
