I’m a non-traditional applicant—background in the arts, now working in a nonprofit focused on youth access to music. Every admissions webinar says they value diverse experiences, but when I look at class profiles, it feels like 90% consulting and finance. I don’t have a quant-heavy resume or a corporate title, just a weird mix of passion projects and impact metrics. I’m proud of what I’ve done, but I still wonder if adcoms will take me seriously. Has anyone here with a less conventional path actually gotten into a top program? What do you think made your story stand out?
