How bad is it to defer acceptance by a year, but then reapply to other preferred schools next application cycle in hopes of getting a better offer?

I want to know from senior developers about the journey of a frontend developer. Like how long should I stick to the same technology? Should I switch to different frontend framework like Angular ? Or should pursue course on different field like Devops?

I am getting mails to report to office.
My base location does not have a hot seat.

Should this not be the focus from HR side to get a seat allocated rather than pushing employees to report to a random office that have a seat.?

And On top of that we have to take care of our own commute even when we are in shifts.

My last working day in TCS is 4th of March, I have rejected the retention offer. My current CTC is 13.31 LPA in TCS YOE: 11.5. Retention offer was 18LPA. Currently I am holding offers with CapeG - 20LPA, TechMahindra - 21.5LPA, HCL - 22.5 LPA.But during my call with HR in TCS regarding retention, the HR when he heard about the companies which I am holding the offers said negative comments about those companies in a deteriorating way. I feel really bad about it 🙁
