I’m a SPED teacher in Seattle making $72k, which sounds like a lot until you see my $2,200 rent for a studio apartment. I love the PNW, but I’m considering moving to a lower COL state just so I can maybe buy a house before I’m 50. Is it better to have a high salary in an expensive city or a lower salary in a place where a burger doesn't cost $20? Where are the sweet spots for teacher pay right now?
