I got a call from HR and offer discussion was over couple of weeks back and still waiting for them to send me final mail to release offer. May I know if they take this much time to release offer, when I did a follow up call after 10 days they said they are waiting for some approval to release offer.

And if you are going to start here as a fresher believe me you will be working in a worldclass env, best and latest tech stack , you will get the like minded people around you to have fun learn and grow, there are too many positives you are gonna see here,
Now lets talk about the comments in this bowl if yiu have observed here most of the comments and post are from the lateral or experienced folks and the reason is prity simple there are a lot of partiality happen by the upper management by the college name, fresher and experienced and if you are lucky you will get some good team.
In short as a fresher bny is one of the best company to start you career with you will learn a lot experience will be great, but as an experienced it is not that great as it seems so.
Once you join ,you will feel that difference your self.
In one line my suggestion would be join bny learn here enjoy your time grow here and once you fill its done move ahead it can be 3 year 5 years or may be 10 years it will be upto you.
To your last question , yes college name does matters you bonus will be based on that only.
