I'm a student pursuing my Masters degree in USA and have 4 years of experience but in IBM i Series (which is almost 30+ years old technology). I am not sure now how to change my tech stake and which path to even go into. Any suggestions on how and what to start? I have a good amount of knowledge on Java 8 but didn't get any chance to work as a java developer or a back-end developer.

I'm not even sure if I want to become a back-end developer as well. Very much lingering within my own thoughts.

Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.

I had an interview yesterday for an AM position for a start up. The salary is 30k more than what I’m making now and it seems like the culture is much better than my current company. I prepped for days… I bombed it. The interviewer repeated two questions because I wasn’t answering them in a way they wanted. Can I just say that was a humbling experience🙃

There is lots of companies really taking a hit in the tech space. Is this something that people are nervous about? Many seem to still be having a hiring push but with the button falling (IMO this is still just start we have a long way to go to bottom out) will that halt and layoffs ensue? And if so, which depts do you think will get hit the hardest?
