I’m an RPN and my DOC offered me the position of Wound Care nurse when our new facility opens (Sept. ‘25). She told me I would be provided with a laptop, the position is a Managerial position and that it’s a mobile position. All of my wound care info is on my MacBook so I am going to have be carrying around 2 laptops, and there may not always be an empty meeting room. I would like advice on how to approach my DOC about getting my own office space and also discussing an appropriate wage. Thanks!

Is there any advantage to telling a company you are interested in working for in the future where you decided to accept an offer from? Or does it not matter? I accepted an offer a week ago with a great company (Company A) that for this season in my life seems like a great fit and only strengthens what I have to offer company B down the road. Company B just sent me a request for interview and I want to keep the door open with Company B but they were just very late in extending an interview.

I have a young student with CVI and extremely limited mobility. She is able to vocalize but not speak. However, I’ve seen her response and mannerisms change (positively) in the presence of parents and siblings which leads me to believe that she is cognizant enough to possible use a communication device. However, I don’t even know where to start with researching the best one for her. Any suggestions?
