I’m at a small firm not getting paid the best at LCOL city in Florida. My firm does civil litigation and administrative litigation. My boss mainly has me doing civil litigation but will slowly give me administrative litigation cases as time goes on.

I really want to work in a bigger city like Miami or NY. I have good mentorship where I’m at. But honestly care about take home pay at the end of the day. Could I get into commercial litigation from this role? Advice?

1-People are likely going to ask you for background details like law school, class ranking, etc.

2-Does your law school have an alumni network that might publish opportunities in Miami or other larger cities in Florida?

3-Have you considered the greater Tampa Bay market?

I can see in biglaw not bringing up knowing damn well if you get an offer itll likely be high, but this is a midsize
