A question I always have is; What does a successful hire look like to you? And then listen and naturally ask from there with respect to that what avenues are there internally for performance reviews and progression from that point.

You're not going to get a truly honest answer., and even the most meaningful manager cannot obligste the company to a particular salary progression. I suggest that you make your decision based on today's offer, and then reevaluate in two years.
You never really know if what they say today will reflect the same experience in the future. That said, I would ask about advancement. Somebody who started entry-level and is now a senior manager, that’s something to consider.
Check Glassdoor for reviews. Connect to existing employees via LinkedIn and network to find out about their experience. You can ask the recruiter how the company rewards performance each year and the annual pay structure. Do they only give cost of living raises or do they offer merit bonuses and what drives who receives and the amount? That's an easy discussion. Companies that regularly give increases share easily. If its a problem, then that's a flag about the culture. You need to make an informed decision about your next move. A good company with good culture expects that. Good luck.
I agree with reevaluating in 2 years
