I’m convinced that the Open to Work banner on LinkedIn is basically a Please Lowball Me sign for recruiters. The second I put it on, the quality of outreaches dropped and the salary ranges being offered suddenly plummeted by 20%. I’m highly disappointed about the fact that whenever I talk to the HR teams or recruiters about joining bonus, they state there’s no provision. However, my male colleagues or ex co-workers who interviewed for the same position where offered a joining bonus.
