I’m currently an ‘Inside Sales Rep’ at a data company, but I’m really a mid market account executive as I run the full sales cycle for any account >5000 employees in North America but I want to go to a different company, either in tech or health tech, as a SMB or Mid-Market AE. I’ve been struggling to find good companies, roles, connections to even apply to in order to move up into a new position. Any advice would be appreciated on how best to target these companies and get a foot in the door.

Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .
