It’s smart to ask for more but know if you will accept or not if they don’t budge. The higher range of the salary may be for higher cost of living state or a candidate who is between your level and close to the next. It is rare a budgeted and posted “range” is maxed out. At 190 offer for 210 range is quite high as far as range penetration goes but I would ask for a little more! Worst they say is no and there’s room for a meaningful increase down the line.
I look at it as "are you willing to lose the role over 4%" --- sure $8,000 is quite a bit of money.... But what's the difference between your current income & their existing offer?
Where are you getting your “data”. If it was from a source other than the job posting, I’d question the validity of the data. You said you’re happy with the offer, why rock the boat especially if you are asking for more PTO.
If you aren't willing to walk away if you don't get what you are asking for, don't ask for it. If you saw that $210k in the job posting, I most certainly would mention it.

If the difference is something you would walk away over I would definitely bring it up. Are you confident in your salary matches that you’ve found?
