I’m far along/at the end of an interview process and saw the job was “reposted” on LinkedIn. Is this a strong sign I did not get the job?

Until everything is signed, sealed, and 100% done, they will continue to advertise. I wouldn’t read too much into it.

Sometimes those are automatic

like

There is no way to know until they tell you. It could be they have decided to keep looking, or it was auto reposted. Keep job hunting just in case, but hopefully you get good news.

like

Great question. Do not let that defeat you. Keep looking but do not automatically assume the worst.

like

It depends how many openings they’re looking to fill. We recently had ONE opening for an attorney and ended offering three. We didn’t close the post until we had all three signed offer letters or a solid rejection.

like

No

like

I don’t think so, I’ve heard those are automatic. Or the posting might have expired so they were required to renew it since the job technically isn’t filled yet

like

Yes, doesn’t mean anything. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

LinkedIn will repost a job every few weeks unless the hiring company stop it from the backend.

Sometimes they feel like they just need a few more candidates. Not necessarily that they’ve decided on your application.

Why is it that when ever I look at “entry level” jobs in IT they always want 2-4 years of experience. It’s entry level that means maybe some certifications if they didn’t major in the field or a degree in the field. Not 2-4 years already working in the field. Can someone please explain this to me?

Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. Is this normal in the entertainment world? Any suggestions?
