I’m finally about to make the jump back to an advisor after a relocation and two years as a planner/coach to advisors. It is with a very tiny RIA. The provide the platform, office, and I own my book and give back a portion of revenue to cover those costs. They are paying me a very nice 1 year salary to get off the ground. What are the questions you would be asking before you make it official?

Appeared for KPMG interview 45 days back. HR is intentionally delaying offer release. Done with 2nd round of interview in last week of July. My Lwd is in oct first week. She took documents on 23rd Aug and did salary discussion a week later. And giving shitty excuses like waiting for approval. Approver is on leave bla bla. Has anyone faced such issue with this company? I never expected such a shitty and worst recruitment process from a BIG4

just wondering who else is in the construction business as a superintendent/project management in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and what the salary range is? are you getting bonuses per job completion?

Does VP or SVP really mean anything in Talent or Business Affairs? Does it actually bump salary up significantly or does it just mean a free parking space that no one is using since we’re WFH? Genuinely curious as I see some people with VP or SVP that have less experience than many with just a Sr title.

Should I move to Amazon? Currently in-house with a mid-sized tech startup in LA; 7 YOE, 200k TC. While my management definitely has flaws, my bosses are kind people, I learn from them, and I have good WLB (45-ish hours a week, 3-ish weeks of vacation, great flexibility and autonomy with these things). Thoughts on the federal government’s direct hiring authority? I think it’s counterproductive and potentially unethical.
