I’m getting sick of living in a city. What’s a good midsize town, liberal, good schools. Anywhere in the us? Good weather would be nice

Bend, Oregon is amazing. Awesome year round activities if you enjoy being outdoors. Great beer and wine. Food could be better but that’s okay.

Love Portland too.

I’ve been binge watching HGTV since lockdown and been thinking the same. Following 👀

Wife wants a top 10 city but I think I’d be fine with a nice town. Something like Madison but with better weather. Maybe no more than an hour from an airport. Maybe even an exurb of a big city. I’m just worried about the people. Would I fit in etc?

You ain’t getting liberal outside of the east snd west coast cities friend.

Not sure that’s true. What about Austin. Chicago exurbs? College towns all throughout

So much for “liberal”. Cities being trashed is a direct result of liberal policies

I’m looking to transition from an academic medical center to pharma or a biotech. I have about 8 years of clinical research experience overall — 7 years combined as a CRC (CRC I, CRC II, and senior CRC) and 1 year as a PM. I’m also recently ACRP-CP certified.

I’ve worked with many different industry-sponsors and CROs throughout the years, but many jobs I am applying to require experience at a biotech/CRO/pharma company. Would really appreciate any advice or referrals. Thanks in advance!

I am currently a medical biller and coder that just graduated. I am currently in an entry level position because I am still studying to get certified. I will have a year's work of exp in July and will sign a contract for another year because my boss is training me in more I don't know.

I'm wondering what the pay is for someone in my position without certification. I live with family and want to afford to move out but I am single and only make $18/hr. Is that standard or am I being underpaid?

Want to attract top talent and build high-performing teams? Invest in employees, not recruiters:

1. Yearly cost of living pay increases
2. Flexible work policy (remote & hybrid)
3. Mentoring & leadership training
4. Reimbursement for continuing education
5. Career pathing
6. Employee resource groups
7. Benefits with low deductibles (Medical, Dental, vision, and mental health)
8. 401K with employer matching
9. Min 20 days PTO
10. PTO for community service

I’m in PA school now but in the process of interviewing for what might be my dream job in medical imaging industry. If I get the job pay will start around 120k at a large company with room for growth. If I stay in PA school I will have around 120k in debt and will probably work in vascular surgery. What would you do? It’s literally the second week of school for me, I have my 3rd interview for the job next week

Misled on Maternity Leave Policy. I found out I only get 4 weeks pay for maternity leave (STD +“sick days”). I will take 12 weeks but wont get paid for 8 weeks. I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?

Do we know if there is a sponsoring partner that oversees this benefit/ program that I could have more of a heart to heart conversation with? However, anything related to IVF or medical procedures has to go through insurance (also limited to $50k lifetime benefit). Continued…
