Although Amazon has instituted a hiring freeze and layoffs are probably on their way, I went through the loop for a security engineer position at AWS. Before I attended the final interviews, Amazon placed the hiring freeze and called me to ask if I wanted to go ahead or cancel my application. I decided do go ahead Right now I'm waiting for their response and the position I applied to changed from "under consideration" to "no longer under consideration". Thoughts?
Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.
Disney Streaming Services I completed my interview process with DSS early last week, and was reached out by recruiter that all rounds were strong hires, and they are extending an offer. We set a time to talk on Friday about the offer. However, the announcement of targeted hiring freeze happened on Friday. I was ghosted with no call. What should I expect now? Would I still have chance to be offered?

Use linked in, tailor your resume (use ChatGPT for sample resume bullets), apply to jobs daily. Don’t give up.
This is the answer
omg I'm sorry for your situation. i hate hearing stories like this and I really hope things turn around soon!! Best advice I have is to start talking to people you know about job openings/ setting up connections for you/ start working with the people you know so that you can not just send in blind resumes. These "cold applications" are just not that effective these days, unfortunately
If you live in America I would not count on anything improving for a very long time
Use these times to learn a new skill that is future proof.
I, myself, went from a back end developer at Salesforce to redefining my interest in tech and spent half a year to study/review my basic understanding of Network Infrastructures to obtain my CCNA. I sensed that the programming field will be over saturated and Artificial Intelligence will be my dominant competitor. This was what I meant when I said ‘future proof’. Oh, and I now have my CCNP.
I'd definitely try and reach out to temp agencies (head hunters) they'll assist by tailoring your resume to fit jobs your skills match. I went 3 months no job, applied to well over 350 jobs. Some I know I didnt qualify for at all, some I overqualified and still didnt get a job. I saw another comment post about ChatGPT to revamp your resume bullets, definitely worth a look. That's what really helped me nail a job I just accepted. I start Monday, it's less pay but it's a step in the right direction. If youre in the US, RobertHalf, Aerotek, AppleOne, and Healthcare Support have helped me find a temp to perm job time and time again. Also LinkedIn & Google offer online certifications that can also help you stand out much more. I start taking SQL and Project Management courses with them and have been recognized during interviews too. Hope this helps!
Update you LinkedIn profile and resume - times have changed a d AI will filter out your resume if it does not have key words for each job... try this in your profile a d your resume. Do not give up.

One guy applied for a job with the company I was working at and he got the job. Then he started referring his buddies to come work - Account Executives, Business Development and Customer Success Reps.
