I've been given so much responsibility immediately and I actually love it...I feel more like a SVP or Director in comparison and working in office isn't that bad... The word culture is used a lot though good god 😅..

About a year later, still at the company and I hate it. Don’t feel purpose and I’m working with recent college grads as my peers. How do I get a job that takes advantage of my experience, whereas mine currently views me as starting over?

My Redfin agent recently quit with one day notice to start his own firm. He was the one behind my deal and did a lot of work and help with negotiation. However Redfin called me and said they put their top regional lead on transaction which is set to close in 10 days. I’m conflicted with what to do. As a buyer I know I can switch firms with seller’s consent and it won’t impact the deal, or will it? The agent said if I went with him he’s throw me an additional incentive to close with him.

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. Interesting all the noise about these PPT, my take:

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.

Would tech ib (m&a) be more affected than say Healthcare/pharma ib in an economic downturn?
