I’m in my mid-30s, had a baby last year, and feeling burnt out after a decade in design (the last six years in advertising). I studied illustration originally and have been thinking about quitting to take a year off to rebuild a portfolio and pivot toward illustration again.
My husband and I are also considering moving to Spain for better work-life balance and to raise our son bilingually. My husband is currently unemployed and looking (film editor). Has anyone here taken a leap like this?

Landed a contract role at Deloitte via MBO Partners for an audit senior role. MBO is making me a W-2 employee for MBO, but I am getting paid $125/hour plus overtime. Am I missing something here or am I about to be making $5K/week (or more with OT)? Anyone have any experience with MBO or doing contract work like this? Obviously way more than I'd make if I stayed at KPMG for busy season.

Curious to what others make for their yearly salary for a fast food restaurant general manager

I’ve been at a job a year and have what I would call a very toxic manager. When I first started they were very nasty to me making comments about my appearance, my character and other inappropriate and mean things. I let them know how this made me feel and they stopped however I continue to notice how manipulative and condescending they are. My mental health is at a low. We are about to be at our busy season but I want to leave so bad. Should I wait until after the busy season or leave asap?
