Im keen to hear about exemplary creative briefings - How were they made fun or inspiring? Did you go somewhere out of the office? Did someone/a team go the extra mile to do something different? What made it memorable or exiting for you?

Good briefs need no pomp and circumstance. I’ve had strat teams do all sorts of nonsense to deliver briefs, and it’s almost always because the brief itself is subpar. All I want from a brief is a clear insight and list of mandatories that is as small as physically possible. That means, from the account and strat side, saying no to the client. Making sure then understand that people aren’t going to take away four separate rtb’s from one 15 second spot. If you want the brief to be memorable, let it be memorable because it reads like a brief from back in the day - simple.

Agree with CD1. Maybe we’re just un-fun people, but most the creatives I know just want to get the brief, ask any questions we have and go start thinking about it. Having consumer and market insights and a focused key message is really all we want. If there are snacks, no one will be sad, but we really don’t need a performance.

I've never wanted a "fun" briefing. In fact, I've turned them down on more than one occasion. Briefings don't need to be fun. They need to be informative.

The last thing I need is to try and hear you talk or ask questions over the screaming sounds of a game of Skee ball, or some shit.

All that said, if you want to do a fun, related, follow up session a day or two later, that'd be cool. After the brief has time to settle, ideas are starting to come,.questions are popping up, a fun outing where we can experience the product or service, could be cool.

All reasonable comments, thank you. Completely agree that the brief itself has to be solid!

Ideas can hit you anytime. My greatest ideas, among the few that I have, came when I was alone and talking to myself.

Hi guys, Could you please help me out on what to be filled here, I've 3 years of experience and I don't think I would be falling under gratuity that will be '0'. But I'm not sure of what to be filled on "Leave Encashment Exemption". I've 170 hours of leave balance. My HRBP dose not respond at all I've been trying to contact her from weeks and there's no response to any of mails nor pings on teams. I really appreciate you for helping me fill this?

How are you all structuring your decks for client presentations?
Basically, since ad school I've stuck with the tried and true format of Insight (1 line on a slide), Idea (1-2 slides w/ a line+key visual), How It Works (executions, etc), and that seems to be the format that a lot of agencies use.
Obviously, this will always vary by agency and project, I'm just curious about the broader structuring rather than getting into the nitty-gritty details.
