Thinking of taking the cpa exam. Been out of school for over 5 years .. not feeling super confident. Any cpas here who could give any advice?
Hey fam. Appreciate your inputs on this: I used to be a software developer and currently work as a tech risk consultant (CISA, CRISC certified). Have completed a couple of cyber courses but do not have prior cyber experience. Most cyber sec job postings require prior experience in cloud, aws, devops etc. Applied to a couple of roles but no avail. A) Can I start a career in cyber security without prior experience? B) Will CISSP or relevant cyber certifications help?
Considering the FRM certification. Those who’ve taken it, how quant heavy is it? I have a compliance risk background and don’t have a deep math or statistics background. However, I want to expand my skillset. Any thoughts?

Best methods to study for AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification. Only have about a week so want to make sure I am studying the right materials and right way to pass
I am looking for some advice or opinions to apply for consulting jobs right now. I currently work at a mid-sized/regional firm, but plan move to a different city later this year. I have ~4 yr xp working on system implementations, IT policies/controls, and BPO, but my undergrad GPA wasn't the best (I did become a CPA and CISA though). Should I try to apply to big 3/big 4? Stay mid-sized? Get an MBA or Masters? Move and pray? Thanks in advanced for any comments!
Anyone attended Columbia or Tuck for their MBA? Would love to know more about their experience/externships availabilities/chances of switching industries after

Recs on a quick financial modeling certification? I’m looking at the CFI FMVA cert but they claim it will take 6 months. The limiting factor for me right now as far as getting a new job seems to be modeling experience so I’d like to credentialize myself a bit
Is FRM or CFA a better certification?
CFA > CPA > CMA > CVA > CIA > CISA. Discuss.👆

23 and looking to apply to MBA in ~3 years. What do I need to do to better my chances for an M7? Context: Mid-level undergrad with 3.79 GPA, top of class performer at IBM, have Negotiation Mastery and Disruptive Strategy certifications from HBS, not sure what to work on next.
I feel for all of those being laid off. Truly best of luck finding something. One thing I realized as a millennial in consulting is job security is non existent.
Call it “diversity theater”: the many PR rituals and bureaucracies obscuring the line between the value of diversity and how companies actually treat their marginalized employees trying to make a change.
Returned from sick leave and found out from other people at the office I totally messed up on a project that I worked on prior to sick leave. Now that my reputation has been ruined and facing an upcoming negative performance review. No one at the office stood up for me despite of positive work done prior to COVID or wants to hear what I have to say. I m bothered by this gaslighting practice both professionally and personally. I felt I was designated as the scape goat. Continued.
Any idea what happens if your company has started your Green Card application process and you are waiting for your I-140 during which you get married? Does that change anything? I know that in family based, it probably nullifies the application.
Any thoughts on Havas Health?

For the TPM final round, can you get system design questions for non SWE or analytics domains? I was told there could be 4-5 rounds, and 2 rounds with SWE/PM etc. My domain is supply chain, so trying to prep accordingly. Is it possible to have all interviews be with TPMs/PgMs?
Show of hands; who has been laid off because your agency lost a big client? Also, when you interviewed for your next job did you feel comfortable saying that? And do other agencies understand?
Was CDD work as bad, i.e. long hours, before WFH or clients and teams would assume you had a life past a certain time before the pandemic? How much of it is the nature of the clients/deals vs WFH making it harder to set boundaries? Trying to see if I can do this long term.
